{"id":1212,"date":"2022-01-20T12:30:41","date_gmt":"2022-01-20T12:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.northdalton.org\/?p=1212"},"modified":"2022-01-20T12:35:36","modified_gmt":"2022-01-20T12:35:36","slug":"vista-arts-spring-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.northdalton.org\/?p=1212","title":{"rendered":"Vista Arts &#8211; Spring 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hello Everyone,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Welcome to a New Year, and lets&nbsp;hope for a more positive one for us all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are cautiously planning a return to a more normal programme, but with some events still to be decided in line with covid restrictions and expert medical advice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as our practical art workshops we would like to continue our series of lectures from March 2020.<br>This would be with four&nbsp;lectures&nbsp;in Beverley and York from February to May.<br>We would love to see you all again and share our enthusiasms with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Lectures.\u00a0The theme to be &#8216;Out of the Darkness&#8217;\u00a0<br>Beverley Memorial Hall 10 am &#8211; Noon and\u00a0 Bar Convent York 2pm &#8211; 4pm.<br>Cost \u00a37.50 per lecture plus refreshments.<br><br>February 8th: &#8216;<em>Yours with a Handshake&#8217;<\/em>\u00a0Brotherly fidelity between Van Gogh and Theo with\u00a0 Robin Horspool<br>March 8th: &#8216;<em>An eye, but what an eye!&#8217;\u00a0<\/em>The art of Henri Matisse with\u00a0 Rose Horspool<br>April 12th:<em>\u00a0&#8216;The exuberant realist&#8217;<\/em>\u00a0Laura Knight with Tim Stimson<br>May 10th: &#8216;<em>From model to surrealist muse&#8217;\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>Lee Miller with Rose Horspool<br><br>The art workshops and courses<br>All in North Dalton Village Hall, and all materials and refreshments included<br>Cost per 10 week course \u00a3150. Workshop prices vary, see below.<br><br>Oil Painting Techniques:\u00a0Mon 31st Jan to 11th April 10am -12.30pm<br>With Robin this is a continuing course for those exploring their own style and personal work under his expert guidance.<br><br>Different Styles in Art: Wed 2nd Feb to 13th April 10am &#8211; 12.30pm\u00a0<br>Rose will help you develop your our styles in art, through investigating the following artists: Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, Georgia O&#8217;Keeffe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ART COURSES\u00a0at North Dalton Village Hall 10 weeks \u00a3150<br><br>Drawing Techniques Continued:\u00a0Thurs 1.30 &#8211; 4pm\u00a0 Feb 3rd to April 14th<br>This course continues the investigations into the many different facets of drawing with Robin in a variety of media, both wet and dry.<br><br>WEEKEND WORKSHOPS\u00a0at North Dalton Village Hall<br>Cost \u00a3150 includes all materials and refreshments. Please bring a picnic lunch.<br><br>Stained Glass for Beginners:\u00a010am to 4pm Sat 12th\u00a0and Sun 13th March\u00a0 \u00a3150<br>You will be introduced to the techniques of this ancient craft, including cutting the glass and\u00a0leading up, choosing the colours for your design with\u00a0Robin and Rose to guide you in your chosen panel.\u00a0\u00a0<br>Only a few places available.\u00a0<br><br>Stained Glass for Returners:\u00a010 am to 4pm Sat 2nd and Sun 3rd April \u00a3150<br>An ideal workshop for those who have an understanding of the techniques behind stained glass making. You can bring your own design to create a panel or hanging with Robin and Rose. Again only a few places available.<br><br>For all the courses and workshops please contact us to book a place.<br>Also for the lectures it would be most helpful if you could let us know if\u00a0you intend to attend. We need to keep to social distancing and restrict numbers as we return very cautiously to a more normal programme.<br><br>With this cautious return we are investigating the possibility of offering our postponed residential trip to East Sussex and Kent. We will let you know as soon as possible if this could\u00a0go head.<br><br>For payments we would also prefer where possible to pay us by BACs or cheque rather than cash.
